How often do you find yourself second-guessing a decision? We all do it…sometimes it becomes a problem and spirals into indecision, guilt and fear. I know I have had sleepless nights, tossing and turning my body in time with the tossing and turning in my mind. I've had moments when I thought I was going to spew my stomach was churning so much about a decision. And I also remember a few times when the second-guessing actually affected my mental health.
It's shit. What I've come to realise recently is that second-guessing can actually be good!! When we do it right 😜 So why do we second-guess anyway?? It's the survival instinct kicking in - we humans have a natural pull away from discomfort…so when our certainty is in question (or our confidence is low) we worry that the decision we are making could be wrong and make us uncomfortable. What we don't give ourselves credit for is that almost EVERY decision we make can be UNMADE! Simply by making another decision. So how do we do it right?
